Michael Berry is a Shareholder at Doeren Mayhew. Garnering more than 40 years of public accounting experience since joining the firm in 1977, he has helped hundreds of clients with their tax needs.
A leader in the firm’s Tax Group, he is responsible for the compliance and reviews of federal and state tax returns, research and communication of tax planning techniques, and the representation of clients during governmental audits. Michael’s areas of expertise in helping clients ranges from entity selection consultation, employee benefit planning including 401(k) plan administration, multistate tax guidance, as well as corporate liquidation, reorganization, and merger and acquisition transaction tax planning.
In addition, as the only CPA on a national committee to improve Sub-Chapter S laws for closely held corporations, he serves as the firm’s specialist on Sub-Chapter S corporations.
