Doeren Mayhew Shareholder Elected President of CFMA Houston Chapter

HOUSTON – April 1, 2019 – Mike Kuchar, CPA, CCIFP, shareholder at Doeren Mayhew and leader of the firm’s Construction Group in Houston, will be the president of the Construction Financial Management Association’s (CFMA) Houston Chapter, beginning April 1, 2019. Kuchar formerly served as the first vice president of the chapter.

“The Houston Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) is a very active association filled with construction industry professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge to the organization,” Kuchar says. “I look forward to serving as the president of the Houston chapter of CFMA and collaborating with our members to continue growing its resources and ensuring the success of businesses within the construction industry.”

With more than 15 years’ experience as a Houston construction CPA, Kuchar has worked with client companies in a variety of industries, including general and specialty construction contractors, home builders and manufacturers.

Additionally, he has focused on specialized audit services as well as internal controls and fraud analysis, litigation support, cost segregation studies and tax planning for more than 300 clients nationwide.

In addition to leading the CFMA’s Houston chapter, Kuchar is active in several other industry-related organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston.
