HOUSTON – February 24, 2020 – Rolando Garcia, CPA, JD, and tax shareholder at Doeren Mayhew has been elected to serve on the 2020 – 2021 Board of Directors for TXCPA Houston.
“It’s a privilege to serve as a director for this incredible organization that is well-recognized for its strong leadership and philanthropy throughout the Houston accounting community,” Garcia says. “I’ve been an active member of the association since my entry into public accounting, and the resources, relationships and support I’ve gained over the years has been invaluable. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to contribute back for the younger leaders entering the world of public accounting.”
Garcia will leverage his more than 20 years of public accounting experience in his new board leadership role. At Doeren Mayhew, he advises clients in areas such as U.S. tax compliance for international individuals and businesses, tax incentives, strategic input on establishing a U.S. presence and more. Additionally, Garcia is a frequent author featured in various accounting publications and journals, and regularly contributes articles to the TXCPA’s publication, Today’s CPA.
He is also actively involved in other industry-related organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Greater Houston Partnership, State Bar of Texas, Asian Chamber of Commerce and more.
