With a new filing season coming soon, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (the Comptroller) recently announced that Texas Franchise tax filers will receive their due date reminders via email in lieu of a mailed reminder, effective 2021. If a tax filer does not have an email address on file, a mailed reminder notice will be sent.
Texas franchise filers are encouraged to follow these steps to ensure they receive all relevant tax communication from the Comptroller’s office moving forward:
