Dan has more than 30 years’ experience in public accounting, where he is driven by a mission to positively impact closely held businesses and their families.

Through his career, Dan has built specialized tax expertise primarily for manufacturers and distributors, working with them to identify industry- specific tax solutions to generate more cash flow and achieve their business goals, while also maintaining compliance. Furthering his tailored and collaborative approach, Dan also delivers M&A and other transactional consulting support, applying his entrepreneurial mindset to help his clients identify future possibilities and offer a strategic plan to achieve their desired end result. Dan’s tax expertise and leadership abilities extend beyond guiding clients throughout the ever-changing tax landscape. As a former adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University, Dan applies his passion for teaching and mentoring to help lead and foster the development of the Grand Rapids’ tax group.
