With a career spanning over 30 years, Jim is a trusted advisor within the firm’s international practice, Moore Doeren Mayhew, helping businesses and individuals deal with inbound and outbound international tax issues.

Jim started his career at a Big 4 firm, and later went on to hone his experience in the manufacturing sector working for an international tier-one automotive supplier. Here he was exposed to the internal tax perspective of running a successful international business with responsibilities for financial reporting for tax provisions, creating projections of financial impact of future tax changes and managing tax cash. Today, he leverages his diverse experience to help foreign-owned U.S. entities, foreign nationals and U.S. companies doing business abroad understand the tax implications of their affairs. Jim is relied on to assist domestic companies invest in or establish operations outside of the United States, while identifying risk mitigation strategies to limit global and U.S. tax liabilities.

Jim’s profound knowledge of the U.S. tax landscape and laws impacting global mobility, allows him to offer practical advice to protect the financial interests of his clients domestically and abroad.
