Professional Experience

Joe is a Shareholder at Doeren Mayhew, where he focuses his efforts on transaction advisory services. With more than 13 years’ experience in public accounting, he has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, infrastructure, wholesale distribution, marketing services, real estate management services, construction, retail, and food manufacturing.

Specializing in transaction advisory services for the middle-market sector, Joe provides a range of buy- and sell-side merger and acquisition services. Clients rely on his expertise to provide quality of earnings and quality of balance sheet analysis, assistance with letter of intent and purchase agreement review and negotiations, working capital analysis and post-close true up calculations. Additionally, he focuses on financial analysis and modeling, business valuations, forensic accounting, key market and industry research, target analysis, as well as other projects throughout the transaction process.

Prior to joining the firm, Joe worked for KPMG’s transaction services group where he worked on advisory engagements performing financial and commercial due diligence, including buy- and sell-side, lender due diligence, financial modeling and restructuring services for Fortune 1000 companies, middle market, and private equity investors.

Joe also leverages his audit experience working in Deloitte’s audit practice servicing an $11 billion financial services company, and $350 million information technology solutions and managed services provider.
