Early in his career, Douglas spent time at a Big 4 firm, supervising complex SEC audit engagements and participating on the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

Today, as a member of Doeren Mayhew’s Quality Control Group he brings clarity to the complex accounting and auditing standards impacting clients’ financial statements. His professional experience spans performing audits in accordance with the American Institute of CPAs, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Government Auditing Standards, Uniform Guidance, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Collaborating with clients throughout the audit process, he detects potential risks and provides recommendations to management, bringing confidence that all aspects of their audit is thoroughly assessed.
