Bringing more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, Ellen specializes in delivering audit, forensic accounting and business advisory services to credit unions across the nation.
Ellen’s professional background includes financial statement audits performed in accordance with the auditing standards of the American Institute of CPAs and the National Credit Union Administration. Due to her profound technical and industry knowledge, she is also frequently called upon to speak and author on a wide range of industry topics, including contributing to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Checklists and Illustrative Financial Statements for Depository and Lending Institutions for Credit Unions publication.
Leveraging her past experience as a partner at Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CPAs, P.A. before merging into Doeren Mayhew in 2024, Ellen commits her time to making sure her credit union clients understand and meet the evolving and complex regulatory requirements they often face. Using her accounting, auditing and investigative skills as a Certified Fraud Examiner, she brings a unique perspective to her audit engagements, assisting management teams in the development of meaningful internal control recommendations to mitigate risks and position the credit union for financial success.
