Doeren Mayhew, a national assurance, tax and advisory firm, has acquired Nashville CPA firm Carson & McKinney, CPAs, PLLC,  a move that strengthens its presence in the region. The firm and its employees began operating under the Doeren Mayhew name as of Sept. 22, 2025.

Carson & McKinney, led by Managing Principal Chad McKinney, provides tax, assurance, consulting and outsourced accounting services to individuals and a diverse sector of businesses throughout Middle Tennessee. McKinney joins Doeren Mayhew as a principal in the regional leadership team.

This addition, which marks the firm’s eighth acquisition in 2025, exemplifies the firm’s growth-oriented vision to build stronger presences in existing markets and key economic hubs. The firm first entered the Nashville market in March 2025 with the acquisition of Thurman Campbell Group, PLC.
