HOUSTON – July 26, 2023 – Doeren Mayhew, a top Houston accounting firm, has improved its ranking on the Houston Business Journal’s annual list of largest local accounting firms, jumping from the 15th to the 13th spot.

Rankings for the 2023 list were based on the total local accounting professionals, with Doeren Mayhew listing 112 professionals, 58 of which are Houston CPAs. “The accounting industry continues to change at a rapid pace, and our adaptability and scalability is what has helped drive our growth. Technology and automation, employee recruitment and retention, and expanded training initiatives are just a few areas we’ve focused on within our firm in the last year,” said Chris Masters, Houston Managing Shareholder. “Looking ahead, we will continue to enhance these areas within our firm and identify more opportunities to build our client relationships and further expand our growth in Houston.” 

Among other significant recognitions, Doeren Mayhew also held its position as a top 100 accounting firm by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) and Accounting Today. In addition, the firm was listed as one of the Best of the Best firms in the United States by IPA, ranked 13th on Construction Executive’s list of top construction accounting firms in 2022 and was named among Forbes’ most recommended U.S. tax and accounting firms.
